Week 23: Pointillist Painting
Hello!
Here is my pointillism painting created with only dots of paint. I enjoyed this process because it made me think about how important each dot is to creating the painting. This took me a couple hours with oil paints.

I asked a few people what I could do to make the painting look better. They said to make the petals more defined and to be careful of smudge marks. I fixed the petals as best as I could, but unfortunately there isn't much I can do to fix the smudges on the sides :)

ReplyDeleteSunflowers are my favorite, and you definitely did them justice! This painting is amazing, the shading is spot on. You're super talented. The only thing I'd maybe suggest is maybe make the dots more defined, as it's a pointillism painting. Other than that I think you did a super amazing job over all. Keep up the good work! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely flower!! It's very nice to see the colors in this one. I think the pointillist vibe kind of got blurred and blended, but it's still beautiful!
